2013 Fall Open Trophy Ceremony

Fall Open Results

In a stunning, last minute move, Bridgett captured the Fall Open Tournament with a 1 lb 5 oz fish in the waning moments.  Tim had landed a few fish, but alas, he was scale-less.  Congrats to Bridgett for a well played event.  A pizza party will be scheduled in the next week or so, but in the meantime, teh trophy is hers!

The final week of fishing saw the anglers on the water, but there was no one that could unseat Tim from the top spot.  So congratulations to Tim for regaining the Spring Open Cup.

2013 Team Tournament Date Change

Due to popular demand, the date of the 2013 Team Invitational Tournament has been changed from 07JUN13 to Friday June 14.   

As a recap, here's the rules:

Team Invitational Segment

This is one day team tournament at the Main Injector Ponds. Here's the rules:

1. The Event is scheduled from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm on June 14th;
2. There will be two (2) fishing periods, each followed by a weigh-in period;
3. The first fishing period (known as FP1) starts at 12:00 noon and runs until 1:45 pm.
4. The first weight in period (WP1) runs from 1:45 pm until 2:15 pm. No fishing allowed during this period. The weigh-in will occur at MI-60. All fish weighed during FP1 will be released after weigh-in.
5. The second fishing period (known as FP2) runs from 2:15 pm until 4:00 pm;
6. The final weigh-in will occur at 4:00 pm at MI-60;
7. All ponds in Main Injector are eligible for fishing;
8. Each team consist of two (2) anglers;
9. Rankings will be determined by the greatest combined weight of five (5) fish per team;
10. Each team member must catch at least two (2) of the five (5) fish;
11. The fifth fish can be caught by either team member;
12. The fish should be ALIVE when measured;
13. Any form of bait is allowed (real or artificial);
14. Two (2) poles per angler maximum; 
15. Pictures of all fish caught are required;
16. Three (3) scales are available (Steve, Tim and Tomski). Only one, determined at random, will be used for all weigh-ins.
17. Entry fee is $20.00 per team (or however much the trophies cost)

The fish were leaping out of the ponds this week with everyone making a run at Chuck's lead.  Of course, it was Tim to bested all anglers with a 3 lb 15 oz smallmouth to take the lead in the 2013 Spring Open.  Here's the pictures:
